Take Action in Denver’s Civic Center Park – urge Mayor Hancock to go all the way on 100% Renewable Electricity

HOME

Be in Denver’s Civic Center Park (East side off Broadway) to encourage Mayor Hancock to go all the way to 100% renewable electric generation by 2030. Tuesday, July 17, 10:30 am.

Denver Mayor Hancock is giving an update for the city’s participation in the Paris Agreements and Denver’s 80×50 plan. We are hoping that he will say that Denver is pushing for 100% renewable sourced electricity by 2030. And that he will have definite plans for how Denver will make that happen.

It is important for you to show up to get the Mayor to see you, see your concern, and see he needs to go beyond rhetoric to quantifiable actions that will get the work done.

Location: East side of Civic Center Park, downtown Denver

Date and Time: Tuesday, July 17, 10:30am.

We need people to stand NEXT TUESDAY July 17th at 10:30 in beautiful downtown Civic Park to give a big (final? goal achieving?) push to our Wind & Solar Denver work with Mayor Hancock.

He’s giving an update for the city’s participation in the Paris Agreements and Denver’s 80×50 plan. We are hoping that he will say that Denver is pushing for 100% renewable sourced electricity by 2030. And that he will have definite plans for how Denver will make that happen.

It is important for you to show up because, while most people realize that climate change is important, this slow moving catastrophe is only on the front burner of a few of us. We each need to be there and bring friends. Seriously. Denver is so important to what happens with Xcel Energy. And Denver is so important to the whole front range. And Denver is so important to Colorado. And Colorado is . . . you get it. Denver’s serious work, if we get serious, will make a real difference. Hot enough for you and your family? Be there at 10:20.

If you can, please plan to be there ten minutes early at 10:20.

Use your list to spread the word. We need lots of people out there.
