How DERs Can Help Manage the Grid
March 22 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) are defined by the Smart Electric Power Alliance as “physical and virtual assets that are deployed across the distribution grid, typically close to load, and usually behind the meter, which can be used individually or in aggregate to provide value to the grid, individual customers, or both. A particular industry interest seems to be centered on DERs — such as solar, storage, energy efficiency, and demand management — that can be aggregated to provide services to the electric grid.”
For this webinar, we’ll be joined by utility industry professionals who’ll discuss specific project examples of how DERs can be deployed and managed in a way to maintain grid stability and allow high penetration of renewable resources while benefiting both customers and grid operators.
