Climate Organizations to host Public Advocacy Workshop on GHG Roadmap
August 5 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Several prominent Colorado climate organizations will address the ‘Greenhouse Gas Pollution Standard‘ rulemaking throughout August and September. This is an opportunity for the public to influence the development of a rule that could require CDOT to prioritize investments in sustainable transportation infrastructure. In short, we need a rule with explicit emission reduction targets, strong enforcement mechanisms that also disincentivizes unjust transportation investments that lead to more air pollution and highway expansions.
Please join 350 Colorado, Conservation Colorado, SWEEP, COPIRG, the Colorado Sierra Club, NRDC and members of the public for an hour long interactive advocacy training to empower members of the public to shape the future of Colorado’s transportation system.
Please RSVP to our Facebook event and share with your networks: https://fb.me/e/4rFgmXqBF
We will engage in a creative brainstorming exercise, hear from a breadth of transportation experts and discuss exactly how members of the public can take action to create a just, sustainable transportation future for Colorado.
