The City and County of Boulder, Colorado, are suing ExxonMobil and Suncor Energy to hold them accountable for concealing the dangers of their fossil fuel products and to make them pay for the resulting local climate damages. Last year, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Boulder’s case should proceed toward trial. Now, ExxonMobil and Suncor Energy want the U.S. Supreme Court to stop the case before the people of Boulder have their day in court. On Monday, October 5, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear ExxonMobil and Suncor’s arguments to escape trial. Let’s use our voices in support of Boulder and demand that they get their day in court.
