Air Toxics Emissions – Community update and input session

How can the recently passed House Bill 21-1189 inform impacted communities about air toxics exposures and the air quality in their neighborhoods?

Please join us to share your input & learn about

the new real-time fenceline monitoring requirements under HB 21-1189.

Live Spanish interpretation provided

Air toxics emissions can cause serious health effects. Recognizing Colorado communities’ right to know about exposures to air toxics in real time, HB 21-1189 requires real-time fenceline monitoring and the sharing of this air quality data with communities.

Are you curious about what new fenceline monitoring

could mean for you and your community?

How will HB 21-1189 make real-time information on air toxics emissions publicly available and accessible?

What are the technology options for fenceline monitoring?

What does “real-time” really mean for my community?

What pollutants will be monitored?

When will Suncor submit its fenceline monitoring plan and how can the public provide input on that plan?

What are the other covered sources that must conduct fenceline air toxics monitoring, and when will they submit their fenceline monitoring plans?

Where can community members see the results of the monitoring?

How can community members ask questions and stay engaged?
